Not everybody knows that in Pobiedziska, merely several kilometres from the centre of Poznań, you can visit the entire Wielkopolska Region in a dozen or so minutes. It is the seat of one of the largest miniature buildings' open-air museums. The open-air museum has been operating for almost ten years. At the moment this small area accommodates for over 30 most important, but also less known buildings of the Piast Route (Szlak Piastowski) and Wielkopolska region. The miniatures are made in the 1:20 scale. The models represent town halls, palaces, churches, fortified settlements (gród), etc. They are exact copies of the originals, preserving all the details. You can best get to the miniatures' open-air museum by car. The open-air museum is situated on the route from Poznań towards Gniezno, around 1.5km from the centre of the Pobiedziska town. ![]() Archaeological open-air museum in Biskupin ![]() Pictures: City Hall |
