Once again Poznań will apply for the right to host the Summer Universiade, i.e. the Olympic Games for student athletes.

So far, Poznań has applied for the organisation of the Summer Universiade three times. Then the right to host this event went to: Bangkok in 2007, Belgrade in 2009 and the Chinese city of Shenzen in 2011. Now Poznań wants to organise the 2015 Universiade.
It is already known that the competitors will be Hamburg and Edmonton. It is not out of the question that the competition will be supplemented also by the cities from Spain and South Korea. The host of the 2015 Summer Universiade will be selected next spring.
