In the nearest weeks Poznań will host several important international sports events.

On 4 June the city football stadium will house the final of the Milk Start Cup, the Danone Cup. The participants in the competition are the children’s football teams. The star of the final will be Zinedine Zidane, the famous French player, 1998 World Champion, who is involved in the promotion of this competition.
Between 5 and 8 June Poznań will host the CSIO International Jumping Competition in obstacle jumping. This is the largest equestrian event in Poland. For a dozen or so years the CSIO competitions are held in Poznań gathering several dozen competitors from around the world.
In the middle of June Poznań will become the arena of the rowing struggles. Between 15 and 18 June the Olympic qualifications in this sports discipline will take place on the Malta regatta track. In Poznań there will start athletes who have not yet obtained the Olympic qualifications. It is their last chance to win the right to appear at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
A few days later (20-22 June) the same track will host the Rowing World Cup regattas. The leading athletes in this discipline will take part in this event which will be one of their last tests before the Olympic Games.

During the next weekend (27-29 June) at the Malta regatta track there will be conducted the Canoeing World Cup. This event will also be attended by the leading athletes in this discipline. After the competitions many athletes will travel to China to participate in the Olympic Games in Beijing.
