Contrary to previous announcements, no international football match will be held in Poznan this year.

However, spring will bring with it the beginning of a thorough rebuilding of the stadium and for several months, the capacity of the stadium will be reduced. In autumn, when the Polish national team will play a match in the elimination rounds of the 2010 World Championship on its own stadium, at most 10 thousand spectators will be able to enter the premises.  The remaining strands will be undergoing renovation.  Meanwhile, in recent years, between 30 and 40 thousand fans have watched the matches played by the Polish national team.
