Despite many efforts Poznań will not host 1st Youth Olympic Games in 2010.

The members of the International Olympic Committee short-listed the candidates for this event. Unfortunately, there was no place for Poznań in this group.
However, IOC positively assessed the submitted application and appreciated, e.g. transport and hotel network in Poznań. The list includes Athens, Bangkok, Moscow, Singapore and Turin. The organiser of the 1st Youth Olympic Games will be known in February next year.
