Several dozen public figures from Poland and Ukraine discussed in Poznań the principles of the voluntary work during the 2012 European Football Championship. Every large sports event is supported by hundreds of young people who, as volunteers, help the visitors and fans to move at the stadium or in the city.
The representatives of the Poznań Organising Committee for EURO 2012 assume that in the next few years there will be started a centre for the coordination of volunteer trainings in all the cities that are to host the matches. It is planned that in 2012 the fans will be supported by several thousand young people with the knowledge of at least two foreign languages who will be able not only to show the way to the stadium but also describe the city's historical monuments and invite them to a restaurant or a pub.
