“Poznan is ahead of all other cities in organizing the European Football Championships 2012” admits Elzbieta Jakubik, the Minster of Sport. The Minister visited the Municipal Stadium a few days ago. The first part of her visit was a meeting with Poznan's authorities and the Regional Leader of Wielkopolska. During a visit to the stadium, which will be one of the arenas of EURO 2012, she admitted that Poznan is well-prepared for the championships. Compared to Gdansk and Warsaw, it is far ahead. After modernization, the Municipal Stadium will have a capacity of 50,000 people. The modernization is planned to end in June 2010, which is in accordance with the requirements of UEFA. ![]() |
