The Mayor of Poznań, Mr Ryszard Grobelny, has authorized the creation of the municipal teams responsible for the preparation of EURO 2012.

Thirteen working groups, comprising administrative staff and the representatives of other services have been called into being. The working groups are to solve all the problems relating to the organization of the event in Poznań. The city has also founded the Poznań EURO 2012 Team which consists of the heads of the working groups, some of their members, chairmen of some of the Municipal Council committees and representatives of other relevant institutions and offices (i.e. Voivodeship Office, Marshal’s Office, GDDKiA, PKP etc. The overall number of people involved is 40. The team is headed by Mr Ryszard Grobelny. The EURO 2012 Team’s office will be managed by the Director of the Department of Physical Culture in Poznań Municipality, Ms Ewa Bąk.
