It is only a few days from the beginning of the international equesterian show jumping tournament CSIO, which will be held in Poznań.
This largest and the most important tournament in Poland will be held on 7 – 10 June on the Wola Hippodrome located on the Poznań periferies.CSIO is an abbreviation from the French name of the International Official equesterian Show Jumping Competition . The tournament of this range can be organised in each country, only once a year. CSIO is held in Poland for the 53rd time. In Poznań they will be held for the eleventh time. The CSIO tournament can be organised in each country only once a year. Within the event, based on the same rules in the whole world, there have to be two competitions held: the team competition „Nations Cup” and the individual competition „Grand Prix”. „The Nations Cup is played for the prize of the Head of the Country – the President of the Republic of Poland. „Grand Prix” is a competition, where the best riders compete for the title of the Champion of the event. 53 editions of CSIO were held in Poland. Since 1996, the CSIO is held in Poznań. The Organisation Committee of the last year CSIO welcomed a new form, very attractive for the viewers. Apart from the sport competition, where over 80 competitors and 200 horses took part, there was a Riding City organised. This year, there will be tens of riders competing. Altogether, the programme consists od 12 competitions. The team competition for the RoP President Prize will be held on the 8th June. During the last day of the competition, on 10th June, the competition for the Poznań Grand Prix will be held. |
