Poznań’s President officially showed gratitude to a few dozen people for their help in preparing all the necessary documentation for the proposal on organising the European Football Championship EURO 2012. Among the honoured were about 100 people, clerks, company representatives, Police, Fire Departments and journalists. Each of them contributed to the great success of giving Poland and Ukraine the right to organize EURO 2012. Every person received an award: specially created scarves with their own name and the logo of EURO 2012 embroidered. . While giving the awards, the President announced “the end of celebrations and beginning of work towards organising the European Championship”.
