The Poznań University of Science and the Adam Mickiewicz University are the most sport-oriented universities in Poznań.

The University Sports Union (AZS) has recently published ranking of the most sport-oriented Polish universities in the 2005/2006 academic year .
First place went to the University of Warsaw. Right behind it in second place was the Poznań University of Science, and the third place went to the Adam Mickiewicz University. The first hundred of the ranking also included: the Physical Education Academy (AWF) (27), the Economic Academy (AE) (38), the University of Medical Sciences (former Medical Academy) (39), the University of Agriculture (45), the Poznań School of Banking (67) and the School of Humanities and Journalism (86).
