We already know the sixteen finalists of UEFA EURO 2012™. Before the final group draw, which will take place in Kiev on 2 December, Poland was placed in the same basket as the co-host of the championships – Ukraine, as well as Spain and the Netherlands.
Since Tuesday, it is already known which teams will play during the UEFA EURO 2012™, which will take place in June next year in Poland and Ukraine. On Wednesday morning, UEFA has announced the official division of the teams into baskets. And so:
in the basket 1, there are: Poland, Ukraine, Spain, the Netherlands
in the basket 2, there are: Germany, Italy, England, Russia
in the basket 3, there are: Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Sweden
in the basket 4, there are: Denmark, France, the Czech Republic, Ireland.
As previously agreed, the Polish national team will play its matches in Warsaw and Wrocław. We will see the teams from the second group, which will play their matches in Poland, in Gdańsk and Poznań.
The final draw ceremony for the UEFA EURO 2012TM tournament will be held on 2 December in Ukraina Palace in Kiev. This is one of the most important events in the organization process of the Tournament. Poznań as a Host-City of the UEFA EURO 2012™ is preparing a public broadcast from the final group draw. The inhabitants of Poznań will be able to watch the events from Kiev at Plac Wolności. The joint watch of the ceremony of drawing lots and joint fun will start on 2 December at 5.00 P.M. at Plac Wolności. The City authorities estimated that the participants of the event will also include foreigners who live in Poznań. People from the countries – finalists of the European Football Championships will be especially welcome.
