Poznań will host the games of one of the group of the first round of the Futsal Champions League, which is a variant of football played indoors. On 24 - 27 September 2011, the competitors of four futsal clubs will run into the Poznań Arena show and sports hall. These will be the Champions of the Czech Republic -Era Pack Chrudim, the Champions of Belgium - Chatelineau Futsal, Champions of Norway - Vegakamertane Futsal and the Champion of Poland - Akademia Futsal Club Pniewy (Pniewy is a small city located about 50 kilometers to the west of Poznań).

As opposed to an 11 - person football, the Futsal Champions League is organized in the form of few day tournaments. The tournament will be played in the "everyone with everyone" system. The first matches will be played on 27 September 2011 at 4.30 p.m. and 7.00 p.m., whereas the next meetings will be organized on 25 and 27 September.  Two teams from the Poznań tournament will qualify to the next round.

The history of the "Futsal Champions League", as the history of the entire discipline, is relatively short. The first edition of the EUEFA Futsal Cup was organized in 2001/02 season. The first final took place in Lisbon, Portugal, where the champion of Spain - Plazas de Castellon FC beat the team from Belgium - Action 21 Charleroi, at the same time, becoming the historic, first winner in these elite competition.
