Aneta Konieczna, canoeist from Poznań together with her friend Beata Mikołajczyk won bronze medals in the competition of two canoeists for 500 m at the Canoe Sprint World Cup which took place in Szeged, Hungary.
Poles also assured their place at the Olympic Games in London. Austrians won the first, and Germans the second place. Aneta Konieczna won another bronze medal in the World Cup in the relay race 4 x 200 m. Poles lost only to Germans and Russians.
Żaneta Glanc, sportswoman from AZS Poznań won fourth place at the track and fields world competition in Daeg, Korea. Her result was 63.91 m achieved at the first attempt.
The Cup went to Chinese Li Yanfeng, who achieved the result of 66.52 at the discus throw. Silver medal went to German Nadine Mueller (65.97), and bronze to Cuban Yarelys Barrios (65.73). |
