Green light for Poznań
Friday, 18 March 2011 20:33

Several days ago, the executives of the UEFA EURO 2012 came to Poznań. They were led by Martin Kallen, the operational executive of UEFA Events SA, accompanied by Frantisek Laurinec – delegate of Michael Platini for UEFA EURO 2012, Adam Olkowicz – the director of the tournament in Poland and Jakub Mazek – manager for cooperation with the host cities.

During the meeting with the Mayor Ryszard Grobelny, the leaders of the city EURO Groups presented the preparations of Poznań for the championship. The guests found their state positive. A high approval was attributed to the fact that Poznań Ławica airport obtained an environmental approval, which will finally allow for beginning the expansion of the airport building and the construction of second taxiway for aircrafts. Afterwards, the guests visited the Municipal Stadium – where they spoke with appreciation about the positive changes after the most recent comments by UEFA. As summed up Adam Olkowicz – Poznań will receive a green light from the UEFA’s Executive Committee for the state of its preparations.
