Mateusz Garniewicz, a student of the Poznań Universiy of Technology and a competitor of the Malta Ski Club has represented Great Poland in the winter Uniwersjada in Turkish Erzurum.
The Poznań competitor took part in Alpine ski racing- Slalom and Giant Slalom. He has already participated and succeeded in international competitions organised under the patronage of FISU - International University Sports Federation. In January 2011, Mateusz Garniewicz won such a competition in a Czech town, Albrechcice.
