The Association of Road Racing Statisticians (ARRS) has published a report according to which the 11th Poznan Marathon took, in regard to the attendance, 77th place in the world marathon ranking. In comparison to the last report, the Poznan Marathon dropped of 7 positions. In the ranking four Polish marathons were classified all in one. Besides the Poznan Marathon there were also: the Warsaw Marathon (90th place), the Cracow Marathon (117th place) and The Wroclaw Marathon (145th place in the ranking. On the top of the world ranking are: 1. The New York Marathon ? 44,785 participants 2. The London Marathon ? 36,522 participants 3. The Chicago Marathon ? 36,154 participants 4. The Berlin Marathon ? 33,625 participants 5. The Paris Marathon ? 30.815 participants The next one, 12th Poznan Marathon will take place on 16th October 2011. Earlier, because the 4th Poznan Half-Marathon will take place on 3 April 2011 in Poznan. For many runners it will be a trial run before the marathon in October. |
