It has already only several days left till the inauguration of the Indoor Hockey World Championship which will take place from 8th till 13th February in Poznan.

In the tournament will participate 12 male teams ( from Germany, Holland, Canada, Australia, Austria, Russia, Czech Republic, England, the USA, Iran and Poland ) and 12 female teams ( from Holland, the Ukraine, Czech Republic, Austria, Argentina, Kazakhstan, Germany, Belarus, Australia, Namibia, Uruguay and Poland). Both male and female teams have been divided into 2 groups, 6 teams each. In the first round the teams in each group will play matches according to the system ?everybody against everybody?. The best teams will qualify to play for a medal.

The matches will be played according to the same rules as for the jockey. There is a main difference only in the number of players. In the indoor hockey the team consists of 5 field players and a goalkeeper. The first match will start at 12.30 on 8^th of February. The hockey player will play in the halls of the Poznan International Fair.
