In a few days Poznan will host the 11th Poznan?s Marathon. Participants of the marathon will set out for the route on the 10th of October 2010. For the last couple of months, the Poznań Marathon has been under the patronage of a late deputy mayor of Poznan Maciej Frankiewicz, indefatigable promoter of sport and recreation.
Presently, the start list includes as many as over 3,500 people. Poznan Marathon, once again, is going to be the largest such event in Poland.
The route of the marathon was marked out around Poznan's centre. Each of the runners will have to cover two loops 21 kilometres long each. The best ones will cover this distance within 2 hours and 15 minutes. The time limit for all other runners is set at 6 hours. |
