This year?s edition of the Poznań Marathon promises to be yet another record-breaking event. As yet, over 2,000 participants have entered this, the 11th Poznań Marathon.
This year the biggest running event in Poland will be held on the 10th of October, and the organisers expect that the number of runners appearing on the start line will exceed 4,000 ? just as in the previous editions. In a ranking published at the beginning of 2010 by the Association Of Road Racing Statisticians, which classifies marathons around the world in terms of the number of participants, the Poznań Marathon occupied 75th place out of all marathons in the world. In 2009 the marathon in Poznan was attended by over 4012 runners. By comparison, the biggest marathon in the world, held in New York, attracts over 43,000 runners. |
