The City of Poznan has been engaged in strategic cooperation with an international sport channel ? Eurosport. Another campaign promoting Poznan on this popular sports channel has already begun.

The use of the Eurosport network platforms in advertising allows Poznan to reach a wide target audience in 59 countries ? mainly European but also in the Middle East and the north coast of Africa.

This year an active promotion of the largest street marathon in Poland, taking place in Poznan every year, will be continued. Receiving widespread acclaim of runners all over the world, the Poznan Marathon has already brought together over 22,000 competitors from 46 countries during its 10 editions. Another ? the 11^th Poznan Marathon will start on the 10^th of October 2010.

Eurosport?s audience will have a chance to see a promotional spot of the Poznan Marathon 148 times in three languages which will be broadcast between the transmission time of  Tour de France, European Athletics Championships in Barcelona and European Aquatics Championships in Budapest. The commercials will  also accompany the Canoe Sprint World Championships to be held in Poznan in August. The first image spot showed on Eurosport International could be seen on the 12^th of June, Saturday,  during TV coverage of the famous Le Mans car race. The promotional campaign will end on the 9^th of October. The spot will also appear on foreign Eurosport websites. But that is not all: already in October, Eurosport will broadcast the most important fragments of the 11^th Poznan Marathon in one-hour coverage.

For the first time the Poznan Porsche Open, a tennis tournament, will also be promoted on Eurosport. The image of the prestigious games will be created by a 15 seconds long spot to be broadcast 120 times on Eurosport 2. The Poznan Porsche Open will also appear in Eurosport?s editorial materials including a coverage of the most important moments of the tournament. A new scene of a several minutes long programme ?Sport Destination Poznan?, to be shot already in summer,  will also get several broadcasts. Last year Szymon Ziółkowski, a distinguished Poznan?s athlete, agreed to play a role of Poznan?s guide in this broadcast.
