The City of Poznan won two awards in the Polish competition “Oscary Sportowe Gminess 2009” (Gminess Sports Oscars).
Poznan was honoured by the jury in two categories: SPORTS EVENT – The 2009 World Rowing Championship held at Malta Lake, and SPORTS DREAM INVESTMENT – a sport and recreational complex “Termy Maltańskie” (Malta baths). The Gminess Sports Oscars competition is designed for people loving physical activity and able to make others like it as well. The best local government units, individual entities, clubs, centres and leagues, which as amateurs or professionals are engaged in practicing, promoting or organising sports, recreational or tourist events are being awarded within the framework of Gminess Sports Oscar. |
