A record number of runners – 27,000 people – took part in the 3rd edition of the Poznan half-marathon.
As many as 2,467 winners crossed the finish line, and every participant of the Poznan half-marathon can be considered a winner. Competitors came from 17 countries, including the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, the UK, Kenya, Italy, Belarus and Poland, to participate in this year’s half-marathon. The winner is a runner from Kenya, Cosmas Kyeva, who, setting a new record – 1:02:32 – totally defeated his opponents (he ran alone most of the time). The best of the Poles was Karol Rzeszewicz, who finished fourth with a time of 1:05:16. The Mayor of the City of Poznan, Ryszard Grobelny, wearing a No. 1 on his t-shirt, also crossed the finish line. |
