Despite the winter weather outside, one can still play golf in Poznan. This is possible thanks to a professional golf simulator that was recently installed at Golfosfera. Golfosfera is the Poznan golf club, and its main attraction is the professional golf simulator. The simulator makes year-round training possible with a full sized virtual game on 14 golf courses simulating the most famous world golf clubs. Golf enthusiasts can meet here and experience the game on the simulator e.g. as part of the Polish virtual golf winter league. The simulator consists of a screen, where an electronic view of the golf course is displayed, a set of movement sensors, and a tee on artificial grass, where the player drives a real golf ball using a real golf club. The ball’s flight is analysed by the sensors, and parameters such as strike force and the speed and angle of the ball are all calculated. Thanks to this, when the ball hits the screen, its further movement can be simulated and displayed.
Golfosfera is located in the City Park centre on ul. Wyspiańskiego, a few hundred metres from the Poznan International Trade Fair.
