Only a couple of weeks have left to the announcement of the official decision of the International Olympic Committee, which will select the host of the 2nd Youth Olympics. The Games will be held in 2014. Poznan is one of the final three candidates. Apart from the capital city of Wielkopolska the following cities compete for the right to organise the event: a Chinese city of Nanjing and Mexican Guadalajara. All three cities will give their presentations on the 10th February 2010 and on the same day the members of the IOC will select the host of the Games in 2014.
Poznan solicits for the support in many places.
