The Argentinean tennis player, Gaston Gaudio, will get a wild card in the Poznan Porsche Open tennis cup which will be held at the end of July in Poznan.
Gaudi has already won in the French Open Cup. He is the first winner of the Grand Slam who is going to play in the Poznan Cup.
Gaston Gaudio won the French Open Cup in Paris in 2004. A year later he advanced to the 5th position in the world ranking. Last year, he took a break from playing and came back to tennis courts only at the beginning of this spring.
Such a long break resulted in a rapid decline of his position in the world ranking. As of today, he is ranked somewhere in the middle of the fourth hundred of players. Because of this, we will have a chance to see him in Poznan. The Cup has a challenger rank for lower-ranked players. |
