The most ardent EURO-optimists are inhabitants of Poznań, 75% of which believe that Poland will finish all the preparations in time. 90% of them also believe that Poznań will manage to meet its own EURO 2012 deadlines.

70% of the inhabitants of EURO 2012 host cities believe that Poland will manage to finish all its preparations in time. Nine out of ten are of the opinion that the event will bring more benefits to their city than it will bring losses. The greatest number of optimists live in Poznań, and the lowest – in Gdańsk and Kraków. More than 90% of respondents support the organisation of the championship in their city, of which 60% are totally in love with the idea.

According to the participants of the research, having EURO 2012 sports infrastructure in their cities will improve them (51% - definitely yes), Poland’s image abroad will improve (45%), roads will be of higher quality (49%) and tourism will develop (45%). Most uncertainty is related to safety issues. Only 18% believe that this will improve thanks to the organisation of the championship.

Most respondents from host cities say that they are interested in the preparations for the event. Differences between the regions are insignificant (70-74%). The lowest interest has been observed in the Śląsko-Dąbrowski region (60%). Current levels of knowledge concerning the preparations are average (nearly 40% of those surveyed feel well-informed). In this area though, differences between individual cities are significant – the best-informed are the inhabitants of Poznań (51%), and the worst-informed – Warsaw (30%).
