Disassembly of an old stand of the Municipal Stadium has begun. The stadium will be an arena for UEFA EURO 2012.

 

So far, two modern stands with gates have been constructed. Two more stands, disassembly of one of which has begun, are awaiting modernisation. The works should finish at the end of October or the beginning of November.
Disassembly of the second stand will begin slightly later. That is because the plan had to be changed after Lech Poznań qualified for the 2nd round of the UEFA Cup. Simultaneous disassembly of both stands would significantly limit the number of seats for supporters during the cup matches.

At the same time, works related to the tender process for the construction of the new stands are drawing to an end. The contract for the investment amounts to approximately PLN 480 million (approx. € 150 million).
