| Poznan Fast Tramway to run to Dworzec Zachodni |

The Voivode of the Wielkopolska Region has issued a decision regarding the extension of the Poznan Fast Tramway line to platform 7 of the Dworzec Zachodni railway station in Poznan, giving the go-ahead to the City, which can now apply for a permit to start construction works. Construction itself could start later in the year. The new route of the Poznan Fast Tramway will connect ul. Roosevelta with Dworzec Zachodni (with two new stops at Rondo Kaponiera and at the terminus at the railway station). The overall cost of the investment will amount to PLN 86 million. The new route will significantly streamline transportation in the downtown area. It will be ready before EURO 2012. |
