A replica of Eric Clapton’s guitar, Blackie, can be seen in Poznań.

The legendary instrument has been handed over to Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy Foundation that raise funds every year for equipping children’s hospitals. 
On 11tg December the guitar was handed over to an Internet auction. The guitar will be exhibited from this Friday for the next two weeks in a Poznań shop, Music Store, in Wielka Street. Blackie, which is also called Black Beauty, was constructed by Eric Clapton on his own in the 60s. In 2004 it was sold at an Internet auction for nearly 1 million dollars. Thanks to the work of a special team of violin-makers, the instrument has been perfectly reproduced. 275 replicas have been made; they show scratches, varnish losses or cigarettes marks exactly in the same places as on the original. The replica of the original guitar will be exhibited in Poznań till 28th December.
