Ministers of Culture from 43 countries will meet in Poznan during the ASEM conference, to be held from the 8th to the 10th of September. The conference will be accompanied by numerous exhibitions and concerts.
The 2010 Meditations Biennale is comprised of two main exhibitions: ?Beyond Meditations?, whose curators are Tsutomu Mizusawa from Japan and Professor Ryszard W. Kluszczyński, as well as ?Erased Walls? with an accompanying programme. ?Beyond Meditations? provides an opportunity for traditional forms of artistic expression present in contemporary art (painting, sculpture, drawing) to coexist within one exhibition with the new media,? says Joanna Przygońska from the Zamek Culture Centre, which is the organiser of the Biennale.
The exhibition has been prepared by 10 curators. They construct their narration around the problems and history of Central Europe, distancing itself from the experience of the Round Table revolution years and the fall of the Berlin Wall. The works will be on display at the Zamek Culture Centre, in a special container at the junction of ul. Słowackiego and ul. Roosvelta, the buildings on ul. E. Orzeszkowej and in the Arsenal Municipal Gallery. The exhibition will last until the 30th of October. |
