For the third time June evenings in Poznan will be filled with ethnic music from around the world. From the 17th ? 19th June on two stages in the Warta river?s Old Channel we will see a dozen or so bands from Europe, Asia and Africa.
The Ethno Port Poznan Festival is already one of the most important world music festivals in Poland. It took the event only three years to be noticed and appreciated by artists, managers and music journalists from all over Europe. ?The characteristic feature of the festival is openness, both geographic ? we can see and hear artists from the most remote parts of the world and from almost completely unknown in Poland ethnic groups and cultural traditions ? as well as musical? says Joanna Przygońska from CK Zamek, the organiser of the festival.
