On the 30th March the first roofing structure elements of the Aquapark at Malta Lake were transported to Poznan.
The construction is entering the next stage of implementation, and a 60 metre long, 4 metre wide girder weighing 36 tonnes has been brought to the city in three parts. Before being sent to the building site, all the elements were tested in the place where they were produced, in a production building at “Alstal Grupa Budowlana” in Inowrocław. After integration, the girder will be comparable, in terms of size and weight, to two modern low-floor trams. Due to their enormous width, the elements could be transported only during the night, in convoys supervised by police and along roads previously discussed with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. Apart from the convoy of the 30th of March, there are still going to be 23 transports of elements from Inowrocław to Poznan. When the whole construction is finally transported, experts from “Alstal Grupa Budowlana” will be responsible for the integration of the individual elements, with the first installation of the integrated elements taking place in the middle of April. For this reason, a special crane with a load-bearing limit of 500 tonnes will be brought to Poznan. |
