Prof. Michael Giersig (Germany)

The Adam Mickiewicz University would like to invite to an open lecture by a specialist in the field of nanomaterials, Professor Michael Giersig. Lecture on: “Functional nanomaterials for applications in electronics and biomedicine” will be held on 28 November 2011, at 11:00 A.M. in the Polish Academy of Sciences, at ul. Wieniawskiego 17/19. Professor Giersig conducts research in the field preparatics of nanometer semiconductor metallic magnetic particles.

Prof. Tomasz Haertle (France)

The Adam Mickiewicz University would like to invite to an open lecture by an eminent specialist in the field of biochemistry – Professor Tomasz Haertle. Lecture entitled: “Protein Engineering” will be held on 28 November 2011, at 2:30 P.M., in IChB (Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry) of the Polish Academy of Sciences at ul. Wieniawskiego 17/19. Since 1988, Professor Haertle has been working in one of the leading institutes in the field of biochemistry and plant biotechnology in Europe (INRA Research Center, Nantes, France), where he leads a research group focused on proteins engineering.

Prof. Marek Łoś (Sweden)

The Adam Mickiewicz University would like to invite to an open lecture of a specialist in the field of degenerative medicine and experimental oncology – Professor Marek Łoś. The lecture entitled “Reprogramming and cancerogenesis – two sides of the same coin?” will be held on 29 November 2011, at 8:15 A.M., in IChB of the Polish Academy of Sciences at ul. Wieniawskiego 17/19. Professor Marek Łoś is a lecturer at Dept. Clinical & Experimental Medicine, Integrative Regenerative Med. Center (IGEN), Linköping University Sweden.

Prof. Dr Martin Hartmann (Germany)

The Adam Mickiewicz University would like to invite to an open lecture by a specialist in the field of chemistry with a particular emphasis on nanomaterials, Professor Martin Hartmann. Lecture on: “Hydrogen Storage for Mobile Applications: Quo Vadis?”, will be held on 30 November 2011, at 11:00 A.M., in Sala Górna of the Chemistry Department, at ul. Grunwaldzka 6. Professor Hartmann is the director of the Erlangen Catalysis Resource Center (ECRC) at the University of Erlangen – Nürnberg.
