| Scientific and artistic festival: Miłosz: East – West |

Year 2011 was announced in Poland as the year of Czesław Miłosz – the famous Polish poet, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature. Throughout the year, conferences and meetings devoted to the works of Miłosz are held in many Polish cities. The next such meeting will be organized at the end of November in Poznań. The guests of the scientific and artistic festival “Miłosz: East – West” (“Miłosz: Wschód – Zachód”) will include few critics and translators of literature from Russia. The festival will be held on 27 – 29 November 2011.
The programme of the festival covers among others: open lectures and talks, which will be attended by: dr Anatol Rojtman – propagator of the Polish literature and culture in Siberia, who lives and works in Novosybirsk; dr Andriej Bazylewski – researcher in Slavic literature, translator and editor; Siergiej Morejno – Latvian poet, writer and translator, as well as Natalia Gorbaniewska – Russian poet, journalist, translator of Polish literature, and fighter for freedom and human rights.
