| Success of the students' choir from Poznań |

The MUSICA VIVA Chamber Choir (Chór Kameralny MUSICA VIVA) of the Poznań University of Economics conducted by Marek Gandecki won the main prize GRAND PRIX 25th Anniversary International Choir Competition and Festival PRAGA CANTAT.
The choir from Poznań received three awards: 1st place in the category “mixed choirs” 1st place in the category “sacred music” special prize for the best selection of the competition programme. The competition involved 21 choirs from Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, Moldova, Norway, Slovenia and Great Britain. The MUSICA VIVA Choir was the only group to represent Poland. The Poznań University of Economics has been the patron of the choir since 2000. The MUSICA VIVA Choir is now one of the top academic groups in Poland, which has been confirmed repeatedly by the choir through successfully presenting its artistic achievements at competitions, festivals and concerts at home and abroad. |
