Successes of young mathematicians

The representation of Poland dominated in the finals of the 25th International Championships in Mathematics and Logic Games in Paris. Young mathematicians from Wielkopolska are among the medalists as well.

The representation of Poland won a total of 12 medals, at the same time winning the team classification. Grzegorz Adamski from Szamotuły turned out to be the best high school student, followed by Kamil Musiał from Śrem. Łukasz Kalinowski from the Adam Mickiewicz University was the best among the university students and the high school students.

Several hundreds of players from all over the world, i.a. from Switzerland, Russia, Canada, Tunisia, Italy and Ukraine participated in this year final. The competition took place in eight age categories - the youngest competitors were the students of the 3rd class of primary school, whereas the oldest were engineers, computer scientists and mathematics lovers.

The finalists have to prove their mathematical knowledge and the ability to think logically.
