This competition, organized by the corporation Mountain View, constitutes a practical exercise of application of the knowledge concerning advertising, e-commerce, internet marketing and modern media technology. “The Idea of the competition is simple: each team is offered the possibility to conduct an advertising campaign for any chosen company, with the use of Google AdWords. Our task was to prepare professional strategy and next, launching the campaign, and evaluation and supervision of its development. At the end we have produced two written reports evaluated by the jury of independent academic professors from the whole world", say Agnieszka Mielcarek and Jędrzej Pluciński, who reached Europe Top 15 of the competition.

This year there were over 3 thousand teams, including four from Poznań.

Even though the very advertising campaign lasted only three weeks, preparations for it, as students say, took the whole year of courses at the university and much more spare time. However, the effort put in this work produced very good results, as all four teams for Poznań found their place in the semi-final while thousands of teams from the whole world were rejected. In 2010, our students reached Top 5 in Europe-Middle East-Africa region. The Challenge is an important part of a E-Commerce Technologies; Internet Marketing;, course led by doctor Wojciech Czart for students of Applied Computer Science at the Faculty of Physics of Adam Mickiewicz University. This year the champion of Europe region was the team from Warsaw School of Economics.
