The Committee for Artistic Awards in Poznań City honoured Wacław Zimpel in 2011 for outstanding international achievements in the field of contemporary jazz music, which was confirmed by the appreciation of Polish and foreign critics.

Jacek Kowalski PhD was honoured by the Committee of Science Awards in Poznań in 2011 for publication of his postdoctoral thesis "The Gothic Period of Greater Poland”.
