The exhibition of works by Wojciech Siudmak was inaugurated within the “Days of Poznań University of Technology” in the Lecturing Center of the Poznań University of Technology. Wojciech Siudmak is a Polish painter and sculptor, living and creating in France, considered as the leading representative of “fantastic realism”. Fantastic realism, combining surreal vision with the naturalistic art, has its roots in the surrealism, represented by S. Dali, R. Magritt. Siudmak reminds of Dali with his virtuosity in rendering a three-dimensional illusion of space, sense of light and shadow, linear and aerial perspectives. Many famous people have expressed their admiration for his work. “What a boundless imagination and what a wonderful ability to implement it. Almost unbelievable talent, more gifted and infinite than the one who creates, expresses and leads our richest dreams.” Federico Fellini “In my house, where I spend a lot of time, a picture of Cannes Film Festival 1976 hangs. It is signed by SIUDMAK. For years, I have been travelling around the world of his art. Owing to him and with him, I dream about the pictures from the world beyond the horizon. Hyperrealistic, exceeding the reality, intimate with the infinite, SIUDMAK serenely controls his extraordinary madness. He has the divine gift of being able to materialize his imagination. He can draw us into his remarkable journey.” Jean-Jacques Annaud “His fine art of drawing and his sense of light and shadow give his visions a great depth and expand the rich array of colors and textures. In his works, there is a quiet strength and infinite space to explore and imagine.” George Lucas The exhibition will be open until October 2011, from Monday to Saturday. |
