It is already a tradition that always in May students in Poznań have fun during various events organized by individual universities. Since the beginning of the month, the events organized by, inter alia, Adam Mickiewicz University and Poznań University of Technology, have been already held.

The crowning of these preparations will be a four-day festival of student culture, Juwenalia 2011. Juwenalia will be opened with a great parade which will take place on 26 May 2011. The parade will set off from the Mickiewicz square, in the very heart of the city, in the vicinity of the "Zamek" Culture Centre and pass through the streets of Poznań to the athletic stadium at Pułaskiego St. (approximately 2 km in the northern direction). It is already a tradition that the students try to present their university in a colorful and original way. At the stadium, the students will receive the keys to the gates of the city and for 4 days they will become symbolic rulers of Poznań. This also means the beginning of the four-day fun. At this time, a dozen or so music bands will be performing on two stages. The events will be held on a daily basis, from the afternoon until late evening.
