The Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań and the City of Poznań invite to an open lecture by Prof. Stefan Franzen ? a recognized specialist in biophysical and biological chemistry and inventor of a new, promising cancer treatment method. The lecture entitled What is nanotechnology?A critical perspective will be held on 16 March 2011, at 14: 00-15: 30 in Collegium Chemicum at 6 Grunwaldzka Street in Poznań.

Professor Stefan Franzen is a recognized specialist in biophysical and biological chemistry. Since 1997 to the present, he has been leading a research group at the Faculty of Chemistry, North Carolina State University, USA.

The lecture entitled Development of practical applications of zeolites: from boiling stones to organic chemical processes and nano-materials will be held on March 25, 2011 (Friday) at 11:00 in the conference room of the UAM Faculty of Chemistry at 6 Grunwaldzka Street in Poznań.

Dr Wiesław Roth co-invented ordered mesoporous materials that were synthesized for the first time in 1992 in Mobil Oil Corporation in the USA, with his participation.
