Two chemists from Poznań shall receive a subsidy for studies granted as part of the Ventures programme. For the seventh time, the subsidies were granted by the Foundation for Polish Science. More than PLN 70 thousand will be given to Krzysztof Fic from the Faculty of Chemical Technology, Poznań University of Technology. The money will be allocated for development of a new model of the electrochemical condenser. The energy collecting device, through the use of special electrochemical reactions, will be able to collect much more energy than devices manufactured today, so it will be possible to reduce its size. The second awarded scientist is Adrian Franczyk from the Faculty of Chemistry, Adam Mickiewicz University. He will receive almost PLN 100 thousand for studies on the use of silsesquioxanes - nano-particles with specific properties ? whose small addition gives substances exceptional resistance to mechanical damages, temperature, humidity. |
