Adam Mickiewicz University will be given PLN 190 million (over ? 45 million) for the development from the state budget. A special act, applying to the financial support for the University, was approved by the Polish Parliament. Thanks to the amendment a grant, which Adam Mickiewicz University will receive from the state budget by 2015, will increase to the value of PLN 500 million (over ? 120 million).
The grant is primarily designed for construction and modernisation of academic campus in Morasko. A number of modern faculties, including Faculties of Chemistry, Physics, Geography and Biology, have been established in recent years. Apart from Adam Mickiewicz University the second university to obtain such a substantial grant is the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. |
